Matchbox is a gallery, photography studio, workshop space and a retail store located in Wellington, New Zealand. The space opened in May 2012, and since then has become a famous and well-loved creative space "for local and international artists and designers to exhibit and sell their work".
Matchbox aims to showcase, promote and exhibit talented artists and designers from around the world. If (like us) you don't live in Wellington and therefore cannot visit this amazing store in the flesh, then do not fear! Matchbox also operates an online store filled with all of their best items, including zines, jewellery, artworks, journals, cards and clothing (just to name a few).
The website states: "The Matchbox team are photographers, curators and designers that are also supported by a team of hard-working interns and volunteers".
