An Interview with Sue Lyn from Twist Chic

Sue Lyn is a blogger and aspiring graphic designer based in Malaysia. She states that in her spare time, she enjoys "illustrating, free lancing, taking photos, making things and reading frankie magazines".

Whim recently interviewed the talented and stylish blogger, and we're sure you'll find her answers both fascinating and insightful!

Q: How would you describe yourself in just three words?
A: Artsy, talkative (if I've warmed up to you), spirited

Q: When did you begin your blog, and why?
A: I started blogging three years ago when I entered college. I guess being in an art-based college helped me generate my creativity and I needed an output for it. So blogging was the cheapest and most efficient choice.

Q: Describe an average day in the life of Sue Lyn?
A: An average day in my shoes would probably look like this : Wake up and thank the good Lord for another day to be alive, check emails, make a hearty breakfast, feed the cat, get ready for college, go to college, meet my boyfriend for lunch, come back from college, spend time with my family watching tv, do assignments (if I'm lazy, I'll usually read a good book), have a home cooked dinner prepared by mom, watch an episode of Big Bang Theory, go to bed and start all over again. It's a simple life. But I love every bit of it.

Q: Who, or what, influences your fashion style the most?
A: My mom has thought me how to dress like a lady ever since I was young. I never liked wearing skirts at such a young age. I was pretty much a tomboy for a short period of time. Then suddenly as I matured, I came to love dresses and floral printed things. Until now, my mom still advices me on what I should or shouldn't wear. She's awesome.

Q: What do you hope to achieve in the near future – any exciting plans?
A: I really want to travel to Europe next year. I'll be graduating from college (hopefully!) by the end of this year so I'm planning on taking a few months off to travel. Honestly, the future is still kinda blur for me. But one thing I have always dreamt about is to publish my own magazine. As for now.. I'm just taking things one step at a time :)
