A Little Birthday Post

Hello everyone!
Today I thought I would do something a little different here on the Whim blog and share some lovely pictures with you from my birthday yesterday. I was so grateful to receive lots of beautiful presents from my loved ones, and couldn't help but take some pictures of them to share with you on the Whim Instagram. Among the photographs you'll notice a ceramic bowl with a little deer in the centre, a pretty red and pink floral teacup, a pressed flower necklace by the very talented Paige Joanna (you can check out her Etsy store here for some more of her handmade accessories and artwork), a little seashell ring (from Etsy seller Proteales), a lovely watercolour birthday card from my family, and two amazing magazines: Lula and Betty (both of which are quite hard to find here in Australia - I'm so excited to read them!)
On another note, the Spring Issue of Whim Online Magazine is coming along very nicely - I've been amazed at the number of talented photographers sending through photoshoots, as well as the number of high-quality creative writing submissions I've received and the wonderful labels, artists, and bloggers who have also wished to be a part of the upcoming issue. It's safe to say that the Spring Issue is going to be a lot bigger than the first issue, and I really cannot wait to finally release the issue online for all of you to read! (Hopefully on the 31st August - fingers crossed).
I also just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has 'liked' the Whim Online Magazine Facebook page. There's been quite an influx of new fans in the last few weeks, and every single time I receive a notification to say that another person has supported Whim by liking the page, it really does make my day! :)
Best wishes,
Melanie
