Featured Label: Whiskers Lane
Only two days ago, we posted on the blog about the Lonely Hunter Market at the Newtown Social Club and promised a more in-depth look at each of our most favourite market stalls.
Today we'll be focusing on the first stall we spotted upon entering the market - Whiskers Lane. This stall was an absolute dream come true! This beautiful label creates everything by hand, including accessories, jewellery, vintage teacup candles, ceramic animals, and so much more. Jodie and Tricia are the very talented mother and daughter duo behind the vintage-inspired label, and on Saturday they both happily chatted away to the eager customers peering at their gorgeous stall display.
On the Whiskers Lane website, daughter Jodie explains how the label came to be born: "Whiskers Lane started with a dream, a spare room, a cupboard full of vintage fabric (lovingly collected by my great Aunt Ma and passed down to me) and my little Janome. I knew it was now or never to turn my dream into a reality...My lovely mother Tricia joined the whiskers team in 2011. Tricia handmakes all the crochet and ceramic items herself. She also helps out with other whiskery fun and is usually with me at markets."
