East Is East Night Market Sydney

Last Thursday night, Whim had the pleasure of attending a new Sydney market, known as the East Is East Night Market at Darlinghurst. If you've been keeping up-to-date with Whim Online Magazine for a while now, you will have noticed our love of local markets that celebrate high quality and affordable vintage and handmade items.
East Is East Night Market certainly did not disappoint. Run by the lovely Liz Raleigh, the market boasts a spectacular location at TAP Gallery. The walls of TAP Gallery are decorated with a wide range of artworks, and there is even a small bar to quench your thirst if need be! What particularly impressed us with the East Is East Night Market is the fact that the event has two golden rules for stallholders - Everything must be handmade by the stallholder and everything must be under the price of $100. The market was originally set up as a weekly event, however it has now become a fortnightly event, which means there will now be an even wider range of beautiful items and brands available for you to browse!

You'll also be pleased to know that the market showcases some of the most talented local creatives, some of which have even been featured on the Whim blog before. We absolutely loved seeing Seventh Tree Soaps' range of wonderful lip balms and soaps again (all in the prettiest packaging you'll ever see), as well as the beautiful (and extremely affordable) vintage clothing for sale from stallholder Annie Lou's Closet.

East Is East Night Market is Sydney's only fortnightly market offering handmade crafts all under $100, so it is definitely well worth the visit. If you're interested in dropping by, all of the details you need to know are below:

When: Every second Thursday from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m.
