Featured Lookbook: 'Sisters of the Crown' by Lady Petrova
We love this royalty-inspired and pastel-toned lookbook from Melbourne label, Lady Petrova. The clothing boutique, which is located in a hidden laneway off Flinders Lane, is described as "an enchanting escape for any urban princess- a dreamland of lace, tulle, crystals and colour."
The extremely talented designer behind the label is Petrova Hammond, the daughter of a fashion designer and head seamstress. The Lady Petrova website further explains: "Lady Petrova’s path to success has been as whimsical, colorful and as lady-like as one would imagine. Having been a finalist in Australia’s first Project Runway in 2008 she has since featured in many leading fashion publications and caught the eye of international fashion icons such as the ever mesmerizing Lana Del Rey, who wore Lady Petrova’s ‘Snow Queen’ dress in her music video clip for ‘Ride’."
If that isn't inspirational enough, Petrova is also a big supporter of empowering women and supporting female creatives, as she ensures that everything in her store (including the wooden floorboards!) have been designed and created by women.
We're sure this won't be the last time you spot this wonderful label gracing our website - from its whimsical collections to its extremely beautiful and feminine garments - we absolutely love everything that Lady Petrova has to offer!
