New York based designer and visionary Samantha Pleet works her magic yet again with her dreamy and delightful Spring / Summer 2014 collection. Since establishing herself in the fashion world back in 2006, Samantha has made her mark through her effortless blending of distinctive prints and classic lines. Taking influence from art, films, history and music in the creation of these tailor-made pieces, Samantha’s latest collection is charming, unexpected and completely adorable.
With a strong tropical twist to these most current pieces, each garment’s meticulously planned construction illustrates the attention to detail that exemplifies this brand. Whether it’s the choice of fabric or combination of striking colours, Samantha’s designs are both boldly unique yet completely elegant.
Samantha’s desire to design clothing that makes a statement grew out of her love to create from an early age, in which she “would tie pieces of fabric together to make the most interesting outfits.” With a formal education in fashion design at the Pratt Institute under her belt, the Samantha Pleet brand continues to evolve with each new collection released, as seen in this current selection of apparel.
