Featured Photographer: Liat Aharoni
Liat Aharoni's photographs are the kind that leave you breathless and completely in awe. When the Toronto based photographer introduced her work to us, it is fair to say that we were blown away by her images, which Liat describes as: "surreal and whimsical portraiture with an emphasis on femininity, movement, and narrative."
The self-taught photographer began pursuing the art form in April 2012, and her website explains: "She strives to pay homage to the concept of balance in life by portraying dualities between the grotesque and beautiful, in a manner which is both celebratory and reflective of humankind."
We love that Liat's photography is able to transport us to another realm; one of fantasy and whimsy, isolation and tranquillity. They say a picture tells a thousand words, and when it comes to the work of this talented photographer, this is certainly true.
