Featured Photographer: Murugi Thande
Murugi Thande is a multi-talented 18-year-old based in Washington, DC. The photographer's images, featured above, explore the beauty of her natural surroundings, proving that landscapes don't always have to be covered in colourful blooms in order to be beautiful. Model Taylor Nappi brings the images even more to life, with the sunlight reflecting off her gorgeous, golden hair.
Murugi explains her passions and goals for the future, stating: "I love photography, visual art, cinema, running, and reading. Apart from that, I find joy in Korean dramas, Bollywood movies, and French music. In the future I hope to become a documentary filmmaker and photojournalist. For now I am on an indefinite mission to travel and photograph the world."
Murugi's work has already been featured in impressive publications and programs, such as The Washington Post, USA Today HHS, WUSA9-TV, The Maryland Independent, and american.edu.
