Featured Artist: Caroline Whelan
Canadian freelance illustrator Caroline Whelan has truly mastered the art of creating a little piece of magic with just a pen and piece of paper. Currently based in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Caroline has fostered her creative talents by undertaking a Bachelor of Design majoring in Illustration at the Ontario College of Art & Design. With a breadth of art that covers everything from monochromatic pen drawings to a series of colourful forest creature illustrations, this artist produces creations that are youthful and incredibly inspiring.
With years of experience under her belt, Caroline’s artistic style has beautifully evolved and allowed for her own distinctive aesthetic to shine through. Caroline herself states her illustrations are “inspired by surrealism, dreams, nature, architecture, art nouveau and travel”, all of which are clearly evident in her utterly adorable artworks.
