Last Thursday night, Whim had the pleasure of attending Elitist Code's fashion show at Hard Candy Fitness in Sydney. Celebrating the launch of the fashion label's new website, it was evident that a lot of effort and planning had gone into the night, and the staff were not only extremely friendly, but they also tried their best efforts to make sure everyone was having a great night.
Founded by the very talented Jessica Goh, Elitist Code is a new online destination that aims to offer dresses that are unique and different from the Australian mass market. The Elitist Code website explains: "Inspiration manifested along a long walk on Oxford St, Paddington where the location is renowned for high end boutiques. In awe of mannequins wearing strikingly ravishing dresses in a strip of window displays, she wished one day that she can afford to wear a designer dress. However it was only a dream and the price tag on those boutique dresses were far too high for her retail assistant income." The site also provides lay-by options, stunning jewellery, as well as other helpful items such as an on-the-spot stain remover to keep your formal garments in top shape while you're out and about.
What is wonderful about Elitist Code is that it goes beyond the expectations of most online boutiques and will soon also be providing glamorous maternity dresses and catering for all sizes so that every woman can take part in the Elitist Code experience. "We want to see every woman be an Elitist; to embrace their own beauty and body regardless of what shape or dress size we are. We have a pre-order collection which includes boutique size 6-14 and maternity and our web store to be launched at the end of this month. Our vision is to create stunning evening dresses for plus size women. We are women, after all," Jessica says.
