We adore the children's classic 'The Secret Garden', so when we receive photography submissions with this much-loved theme, we get pretty excited! Makeup artist Vanessa Louise recently shared this beautiful collaboration with us, and we knew our readers would also fall in love with the stunning gowns from Vellos Bridal, as well as the incredible location and blooms.
Vanessa Louise shares some more information about the shoot, explaining: "We started our shoot in the gorgeous rustic setting of luscious budz florist shop in the heart of Rose Bay Sydney, it smelled heavenly and was a perfect setting to kick off the themed shoot. We then headed to Cooper Park in Woollarah, it was a very dark and gloomy day we were incredibly lucky with the weather the rain held off and literally poured down as we were all bolting back to our cars with our gear at the end of the shoot. Cooper Park is such a tranquil picturesque setting the possibilities were endless. Chris the photographer had a tough time with the lighting given the overcast weather and not much light filtering through the tall tree tops but he managed to capture the mood perfectly. The headpieces were crafted with the shoot in mind and coordinated well with the exquisite gowns from Vellos Bridal. The hair was styled around each headpiece and makeup was applied in a soft and natural pallet to begin then warmed up with rich warm hues with the Autumn Bride in mind."
We strongly encourage you to check out the work of each individual team member listed in the credits above - their work is sure to inspire you! We also want to say a huge thank you to those who collaborated on this shoot; the results are breath-taking.
