Katherine Eleyce is the delightful fashion stylist behind many of Whim's most favourite shoots, so we're very excited to be able to take a deeper look at her work today on the Whim blog. When Katherine isn't busy styling beautiful photoshoots by some of Australia's most talented photographers, then she also spends her time as a Creative Director, Events Coordinator & Style Blogger.
Whim recently had the pleasure of interviewing Katherine to delve into her spectacular world of all things creative and fashion-related:
Q: When did you discover your love of the fashion industry?
A: I was in high school when I first became truly interested in the industry. When I started high school I took textiles, I was lucky enough to have a great teacher and I just knew it was what I wanted to do.
Q: We understand you have a few impressive job titles, including Creative Director, Fashion Stylist, Events Coordinator & Style Blogger. Please tell us a little about how you became involved in these positions and what you love the most about them? Is there a position in particular that is your main role?
A: I think the great thing about being a 20-something these days is that there are so many opportunities to do what you love and you don't have to pick just one. I started exploring more of the industry while I was studying fashion at Whitehouse and it was great to be involved with a whole variety of projects. My favourite part about working in the industry is being able to express exactly how you're feeling and create something beautiful. It's also such a pleasure meeting and working with passionate and wonderfully talented people. I am mostly focusing on styling and blogging at the moment and looking to launch some very exciting new additions to the blog in the coming weeks - stay tuned!
Q: You've been involved in some incredibly beautiful photoshoots. Is there a specific photoshoot or memory that stands out for you the most so far?
A: Thank you! I would have to say one of my very first shoots. It was when I was at uni and created a 3 bodied collection in my second year. I was lucky enough to work with a truly gifted photographer who I learnt so much from. That was when I first started developing my passion to style and coordinate photoshoots (featured below).

Q: What does an average day in the life of Katherine involve?
A: Each day begins with checking emails and updating social media sites for the clients that I manage. The days are then spent in meetings discussing projects and collaborations or working on the projects that I have coming up. Day to day that varies between styling shoots, organising events, writing updates for the blog or designing capsule collections for upcoming projects. It's great being able to constantly work on something different that I'm passionate about.
Q: What do you hope to achieve with your career in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?
A: In the not to distant future, I am working on building my client list for styling work as well as expanding my blog in to new and exciting ways which you'll be able to see shortly on www.katherineeleyce.com
We highly encourage you to check out more amazing work from Katherine by visiting her website, following her on Instagram or 'liking' her Facebook page - You're guaranteed to feel inspired by her dedication and hard work!
