Featured Photographer: Milagros Olivera
How do you document your life? Do you spend your evenings scrawling away in notebooks, scroll back through your phone’s camera roll or dig around your bag for receipts, tickets and clues as to your recent adventures? Creative folk like photographer Milagros Olivera look to their camera to capture the people, places and moments most dear to them. Located in the beautiful surrounds of Argentina, this 21 year old has a creative vision so vivid and imaginative it’s evident in every image she creates.
Milagros may be new to the world of photography, but the quality of her work so far is truly outstanding. Since 2010 she has been seeing the world through her camera lens. Intimacy and authenticity remain at the core of every shot Milagros takes, seeing her generate an incredible array of portraits and landscape images. The raw, untouched state of the natural world is presented centre stage here, featuring shots awash with dreamy earthy tones and an impressive depth of field.
Experimenting and playing with her subjects and surrounds, Milagros looks to other artists, photographers and their creations for inspiration. In her own words, Milagros states, “I shoot film, I like poetry and fantastic literature and long walks in the woods.”
