It takes true talent and passion for an individual to succeed in a creative field without any formal training, and today's featured photographer is no exception. Colleen O'Brien lives in Denver, Colorado however she is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. The talented photographer is completely self-taught, and Colleen states that she "began by taking polaroids and medium format with a holga."
We absolutely love the series featured above, and feel in awe of the mood, location and dreamy colour palette that Colleen has so efficiently captured. The dusky rose-coloured dress combined with model Lauren's soft platinum blonde curls, rosy cheeks and delicate floral motifs has left us feeling in awe.
Colleen sheds some further light on her photoshoot, explaining: "I love the state of Colorado because of the beautiful mountains, the amazing sunshine, and there are endless places to explore...This shoot was shot in an abandoned house in Parker, Colorado. My favourite part of it was the old wallpaper peeling off the wall and the pretty light coming through the torn down wall."
When it comes to photography, Colleen's enthusiasm and adoration for the medium shines through. She states: "Photographing people is my favorite, which usually ends up being models for planned-out, conceptual shoots. I am also shooting a few weddings this year. Photography is my absolute passion and it feeds my soul."
