If you ever happen to get lost or lose your way in a lush, enchanting forest, we hope it looks as magical as this latest photoshoot by photographer Jonathan Coates. Working out of the UK midlands, J S Coates Photography seeks to transform ordinary scenes into works of splendour and serenity. With model Becca Beckett shining centre stage, Jonathan's shoot 'Lost in a Maze' offers a beautiful visual depiction of the wonder of the natural world.

Shooting with his newly acquired Sigma 50mm ART lens, Jonathan's images grab and seize your gaze immediately. Captivating and utterly intriguing, there is an understated allure in his work that seems both incidental and intensely purposeful.

On location in the stunning surrounds of the 'Plantasia / Maze World‘ in Mancetter, every element of the photoshoot fell together perfectly. Jonathan describes the ease with which these photographs were produced, stating, "this was one of those shoots where everything went right and I felt the images were strong as soon as I clicked the shutter. The model, outfit, location, weather and general tone of the shoot were all great and I’m really proud of the finished results."

When not behind the lens, Jonathan busies himself with music. Referred to as his "other love", his work in folk rock duo Barricades Rise has seen Jonathan evolve even further creatively. Singer, songwriter and superb photographer; is there anything this man can't do?
