Three years ago, Federico Barbieri stumbled upon a chance discovery. Strolling through the north Italian town of Ferrara, he spotted an array of vintage cars lining the streets. Leaning upon these cars was a group of models, whose elegance captured Federico’s attention. Despite his self-confessed ineptitude, he began snapping photographs which drew in the beauty of the scene.

Now twenty-six, Federico has been propelled into a career as a fashion photographer. Since that fateful day, he has immersed himself in the craft. He has learnt to capture stunning images filled with a careful balance of dreaminess and boldness.

Federico’s photography captures intense personality, with bold hues illuminating the vivacity of the beautiful fashions. The models display an edge and a self-assuredness, allowing the photographs to confidently leap from the page, showcasing the clothing.

It is clear that this confidence is no accident; the confident streak comes from the photographer himself. Despite feeling disillusioned at times, Federico remains confident in his ability to produce inspiring photography. “The important thing is to keep working and keep your head up,” he states brightly.
