Photoshoot: 'Billy Jean's Treasures' by Isobel Art
Have you ever been to the Wollongong Botanic Gardens? Whim has shot quite a few photoshoots there over the last almost 2 years as it is one of our most favourite places. If you're ever South of Sydney or heading down the South Coast of NSW, we highly recommend you take the time to visit it!
It will probably come as no suprise to you then that this beautiful photoshoot by emerging photographer Isobel Art was also shot at the gardens in Wollongong, conveniently located across the road from the University of Wollongong where the photographer attends her studies in Creative Arts.
"Most of my photography is on location and I love the beauty and mystery in nature and being one with your surrounding environment, that's why a lot of my photographs are in gardens," Isobel Art explains.
"This series is inspired by the late 1960's styling and influenced by the melancholy feeling of being a teenage girl...My main passion in photography is my retro inspired portraits, mainly focusing on the 1960s and a bit of 70s. My cousin Nicole and I work together to create these retro portraits. Nicole is the wardrobe and props manager. Her job is to organise the clothing, accessorise and props, as well as styling the model / customer," she says.
We highly encourage you to visit more incredible work from Isobel Art by checking out her blog, Facebook page or following on Instagram (@hellomonie). Enjoy!
