Captivating. Well, that’s one word to describe this mesmerising ‘Fluttering of Iridescence’ photoshoot by 21-year-old Laurel Guido, a photographer based in Chicago.

Still completing her BFA at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Laurel fell in love with photography in primary school, and it has been blooming ever since! “Fairytales and storybooks” from childhood have formed her inspiration to bring her dream world into real life.

In this series, the model, Alexandra Pinheiro, is positioned to express a lulling sense of detachment from reality. She’s emotional, yet carefree. There are aspects of the images that play with light to create iridescence – drawing you in to get a clearer view. We are left wanting more.
