Set against a tranquil and lush background, this beautiful photoshoot by Delilah Summer Rayne has us dreaming of tropical rainforests and swarms of bright butterflies.

More than just pretty images, this photoshoot actually has an inspiring story of personal triumph behind it, and who better to tell the tale than the photographer herself?

Delilah explains: "[Abigail] was in a really bad car accident last spring where she almost lost one of her arms. The surgeon skin grafted other parts of her body in order to restore her arm. Abigail is one of the most positive and bubbly people that I know and has gone through so much, so I wanted to do something really special for her. I didn't want to cover up the scars completely, I wanted to embellish them and show that even though they are abnormal, they are beautiful and represent a second chance at life that almost slipped away. Abby is so thankful everyday for the people involved in her recovery; emergency personnel, doctors, family and friends are all people who helped her through this tragic event. I am so happy that she asked me to do a shoot with her and let me have complete creative control so that I could let my creative juices flow."
