Working as an artist can be tough. It’s an often draining, drawn-out process of both discovery and disappointment. For photographer Giulia Albertini, her ‘light-bulb’ moment came with the signing to Milan-based agency Fotomonelle. Coupled with freelance work and time spent assisting other established creatives, Giulia’s confidence in her artistic vision has come to its culmination over the past two years. And from the looks of her successes so far, this journey into the world of photography is set to deliver big things.

What is astounding about Giulia’s work is its breadth and diversity. Consistent in quality across every shoot, there remains a sense of uniqueness to each series that keeps her work refreshing and magnetic. From soft and dreamy sun-drenched garden shoots to edgy, hi-fashion editorials, Giulia shows how one can do it all and still do it well.

Interestingly, photography was not the automatic path for this clearly gifted soul. With intentions to pursue educational science at a tertiary level, Giulia’s yearning to express herself through creative means saw her drawn to the camera. Fast forward a few months, and training from various workshops and courses in photography saw Giulia’s gaze set firmly on this medium of expression.
