The dusky warmth of hazy summer days brings on an eerie sense of nostalgia. Fond memories of years gone by come flooding back, tinged with the rose coloured lens of distance and time. Sheltered from summer’s scorching rays, long lazy afternoons blend into breezy balmy nights.

After first glimpsing the latest shoot from photographer Rafael Mesa, we couldn’t help but become a little inspired. Titled ‘Birdie Vintage’, this series of soft, dreamy shots serves as something of a daydream. Dressed in lace, loose frills and lavish floral pieces from brand Birdie Vintage, model Cristina’s striking beauty stands front and centre in every one of these stunning images.

A familiar favourite on the Whim site, Rafael’s photography is subtly striking in all the best ways. Seemingly candid yet layered with intention and artistic purpose, these most recent shots truly show the evolution of his work as Rafael’s photography grows from strength to strength.
