If you saw our exclusive interview and feature about Australian fashion label Andy Truong recently, then you will already know just how beautiful his garments are.
We've had this photoshoot in the works for what has seemed like ages, but after a bout of bad weather in Sydney and the always-too-busy period of Christmas and the New Year, we were finally able to set our minds on capturing these two amazing dresses from Andy's previous collection.
When the dresses arrived in the mail, I couldn't help but rush to try them on and to my delight they fit perfectly. Although I don't often show my face a lot around this little corner of the internet, I thought it might be nice to make the extra effort with this shoot and brave it in front of the camera for a change (It's just so hard to keep a straight face - Ha ha!). After all, when you feel so passionate about a label (and fall in love with the little details of these two dresses, such as the red flower appliqués and semi-sheer hemline) it's hard not to want to wear them at every chance you can get!
Looking at the images above, you probably won't be able to tell that just less than an hour before they were snapped it was overcast and pouring rain. Luckily for us, the sun quite suddenly came out and we then rushed to get the shoot complete before the weather changed its mind again.
All in all it was a lovely experience collaborating with the talented Andy Truong and his brilliant dresses and we look forward to seeing what the future brings for this label. 2015 is also the year that Whim will begin to collaborate more frequently with various other talented labels, so I'm sure there are plenty more projects like this one coming your way!
