Interview with a Creative Muse: Blogger Au Revoir Simone

The aim of our new series is to introduce you to talented individuals from around the world who come from different creative fields. Through showcasing some of their stunning images and an insightful interview with them, we hope Whim's own 'creative muses' can in turn inspire and motivate your own creativity and bring a sense of wonder and awe to your day.Without further ado, here's our first Muse interview featuring dreamy Portugese blogger, art student and photography lover Simone from blog Au Revoir Simone............
Q: Please tell us a little about your blog and what inspired you to begin blogging?
A: My blog started as a space where I published "random photos", it was in 2010.From there, I began to visit regularly Flickr accounts and lifestyle / photography blogs that left me fascinated and amazed by the pictures, these pictures made me dream and I loved that feeling.There, I had no idea how I could 'do magic' with the camera... I started shooting and it was in time I discovered my style of photography and inspired me to this day!Now, with my camera, any tiny detail turns into an enormous wonder.
Q: How would you describe yourself in just three words?
A: I think being a hopeless romantic is what most defines me. I consider myself soft-hearted too, I'm too sensitive, I always want to help and make a better life for people. And... a dreamer!
Q: The photography on your blog is absolutely beautiful! What inspires your creativity with photography?
A: My biggest inspiration is love. I always said, it's that feeling that never left me that makes me give the best of me in photography. Basically, "love is all you need".I can express my feelings, dreams and nature in my photographs.And thank you for your kind words, made me smile!
Q: Please describe what an average day in the life of Simone looks like?
A: This year I'm a little 'stopped'. I'm waiting for the next year (July 2015) to go to college and finally enter a course where I can join design, illustration and photography. Also, I'm doing a course at school for six months, to give me equivalence to go to college in 2015. I now try to enjoy my free time, because I know that for the year will not have it: I will always be busy with work.I'm a volunteer at the hospital and the Red Cross, go to the gym and dance ballroom dancing (I love being healthy and active), drawing and make crafts and illustrations. I'm always searching for DIY inspiration, crafts and decorations for home. I'm learning to crochet to start my Etsy shop, where I'll sell some illustrations and crafts.
Q: What do you hope to achieve with both your blog and photography in the near future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?
A: I would like to continue to inspire and make people dream with my photos, and evolve more and more! I want to continue to share pieces of my life through my photos, and make my blog a comfortable place where people continue to like to go.I would like to work with other lifestyle / photography blogs where we could share projects. I would love to!
