When we first saw this glorious photoshoot from Marina Bernardo Photography in our inbox, we thought knew you would love it as much as we do!

Featuring a girly assortment of pink knits, pearl-adorned eyelashes and pastels, this series of images feels right at home here on the Whim website.

Marina is a very talented photographer based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and she also has a Bachelor's degree in fashion design. Today's shoot is a collaboration with an equally-as-talented fashion designer, Marina Rozman, who has released a new collection titled 'Flores que Voam', translating as 'flowers that fly' - a poetic referral to butterflies.

Marina has also shared with us a short video from the photoshoot, which you can view here. There's something quite lovely about a giggling model who doesn't take herself too seriously, isn't there?

We have some other great news too - We recently interviewed Marina to ask her all about this photoshoot, her photography career and her dreams for the near future. Check out the full interview below!

.

Q: When did your love of photography first bloom?A: My love for photography began when I held my first camera. I enjoyed taking pictures but didn't know why. When I was studying at a fashion college I discovered fashion photography and realized that this was what I wanted to do with my life.

Q: What inspires your creativity the most?A: My creativity comes from everything I see. Everything inspires me. Movies, magazines, websites, blogs, people's behaviour, the city, everything. However what I think that inspires me the most is the relation between the history of photography and the history of fashion design.

Q: Please tell us a little about the experience you had whilst working on these images for 'Flores que Voam'?A: The collection ‘Flores que Voam', signed by my friend and fashion designer Marina Rozman, was inspired by the lightness of butterflies, present in the works of anthroposophy, in the photos of Linden Gledhill and in the art of Jane Hammond, who portrayed butterflies as if they were flying flowers. There is also a song in Brazil that says that butterflies look like flowers that the wind took to dance and I wanted reflect this in my images. Our team, composed also of a makeup artist and a model, talked about the theme and we decided that the photos should portray lightness, sweetness and femininity.

Q: What does an average day in the life of Marina involve?A: My days are basically based on photography. When I'm not taking pictures, I'm retouching photos, editing, researching at blogs, magazines, watching movies and studying. My studio is inside my house so I don't have a fixed schedule.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your work in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any upcoming, exciting plans that you would like to share with us?A: I intend to go to New York next year and study there. My goals are to learn more about analogical photography, altenative methods of revelation and fashion photography. I also have dreams like any other fashion photographer, like having my photos published in major fashion magazines.
