Featured Photographer: Leire Galarza

Leire Galarza's photography perfectly captures the beauty of travelling around the world with nothing but the belongings in your suitcase, your best friends and a camera gently swinging around your neck.

The Spanish photographer is based in Olso in Norway and although she recently finished studying medicine in Barcelona, she bravely decided to take her life in a different direction.

"I decided to leave everything behind and go for what my biggest passions are, travels and photography. I started getting into photography around 3 years ago, while I was still in university. Everything began when my dad gave me his old Minolta, and since then I haven't stopped shooting, always film," the inspirational Leire Galarza explains.

If Leire's images don't make you want to plan a little escape for yourself in the wilderness or by the seaside, then we don't know what will! She captures that sense of freedom, youth and wanderlust so easily and we cannot help but admire each and every wonderful image.

Leire also began a project last year with her best friend Mònica Bedmar called 'Sea You Soon' which can be described as "a trip looking for wilderness" featuring "A friendship, two girls, one month, seven islands, two analog cameras and absolute freedom." Sounds like a fantastic dream, doesn't it?
