Changes are Coming to Whim Online Magazine...Exciting!
Can you believe we've already reached the half-way point of 2015? It only seems like yesterday (kind of) that I sat here typing down what Whim Online Magazine's lovely readers could expect from the site going through to the New Year!
I'm pleased to announce that some super exciting changes will be making their way to Whim from now on, all of which I feel will help to transform the site into a place that hopefully reaches a larger audience with wider interests, helps everyone to inject even more whimsy and prettiness into their daily life, continues to showcase the incredible work of talented creatives and so much more!
There's also an exciting clue at the end of this blog post about some awesome but secret things planned for the coming months - What will they be? You'll have to read on to find out ;)
So, what can you expect?
As mentioned before, we still want our website to cater primarily to creatives (especially photography / art / fashion lovers), however moving forward we'd also love to extend this focus to topics which will appeal to a larger circle of our audience - those who don't necessarily work in a 'creative' or 'artistic' profession but still have an appreciation of all things whimsical and dreamy (and would love to apply this appreciation to aspects of their everyday life, whether it be their home, style, entertainment and more!)
You can also expect:
- More amazing Etsy product round-ups celebrating all that this unique and independent marketplace has to offer.
- Fun and helpful topics such as a round-up of pretty (and FREE) phone wallpaper, tips on how to create a dreamy home office / study, colourful DIYs and so much more!
- We love showcasing the incredible work of talented individuals (it's why Whim Online Magazine was created in the first place!), however moving forward we want to extend this inspiration to the topic of education also, with a concentration on helpful how-to's and other informative topics that those working in professions such as photography, art, fashion, blogging etc are going to love! (Stay tuned for a special - and 'no fluff' - blog post teaching you how to make money within your first few months of blogging, guaranteed.)
- The introduction of style posts! As Whim has started to gain the attention of many fashion labels wanting to collaborate through outfit / style posts, it only seems like a natural and fitting progression for us to begin showcasing such content from time to time. We know you're going to love these products and garments and hope that you'll be able to draw inspiration from these upcoming looks for your own future outfits!
- More behind-the-scenes looks at Whim on Instagram! If you follow Whim on Instagram (@whimmagazine) you will have noticed over the past 2 weeks that we have included some BTS looks into the Whim studio, including collaborations or sneak-peeks of reviews we have coming up. We plan on doing this more frequently, so if you don't follow us on the platform already and would love to see some visual insights into our day, make sure you head here and click 'Follow'!
- Additional and helpful eBooks at various price points to suit every budget! We launched The Whimsical Photography Playbook (an updated and more beautiful version of our initial eBook from 2014 titled 'The Ultimate Guide to Whimsical and Dreamy Photography') and so far the feedback has been so, so lovely! We have another eBook in the works which will provide readers with a year's worth of dreamy photography prompts like nothing they've read / heard / seen before and this will be priced at less than $10, with at least $15 worth of FREE bonus material :)
- There are also another TWO eBooks in the works after this one...the first eBook will be a 'handbook' dedicated to those wishing to inject each and every day with inspiration, creativity and motivation (no matter what their profession / pursuits!) while the second eBook will be a guide to helping readers successfully achieve their creative dreams, just the 'fast-track' version containing (of course) the most stunning illustrations and photographs you've ever seen to assist you with your inspirational journey.
- We've also got a little website makeover planned to help you navigate each of the different and additional topics easily.
- Plus, we'll begin utilising our e-newsletter more and sending out an email twice a month to our 'Whim Insiders' who have joined our exclusive list to receive sneak-peeks, the latest news, newsletter-only sales / discount codes and special FREE gifts!
And as for the clue in regards to our super secret plans?
...Pretty dresses (and lots of them!). Can you guess what we might be up to in the coming months?.
