'Cherries in the Snow' captured by LORIANA | Fotografia features the incredible new collection from Rockstars and Royalty, as well as crafted blooms from Peonynpearl.
It wasn't too long ago that we interviewed the talented Vicky from Rockstars and Royalty here on the Whim website, closely followed by attending the 2015 Fashfest (which this collection is straight off the runway from!).
Lori Cicchini is the talented fashion, beauty and creative portrait photographer behind LORIANA | Fotografia, her Canberra based business, and we are stoked to have an interview with her today on the site! Check it out below:

Q: When did your love of photography first blossom?
A: It's hard to pinpoint the moment but it was a sequence of coinciding events that drew my attention to it. It was then at that moment I decided I needed to know more about how to use my camera creatively and embarked on a 3 year degree in photography at the Canberra Institute of Technology in 2011. It was the best decision I have ever made regarding my change in career.
Q: What inspires your creativity the most?
A: Mood, I think about how I want my images to feel. I reference movies / films and music to help me translate "the mood" into my imagery.
Q: How would you describe yourself in just three words?
A: Curious, open and hardworking
Q: Please tell us a little more about the experience you had whilst working on this photoshoot, 'Cherries in the Snow'?
A: I have worked with designer Vicky from Rockstars and Royalty on many projects including the massive production of my solo exhibition last year where Rockstars & Royalty's 2014 collection was the inspiration to my series, Ghost Stories. Earlier this year we were working on an underwater series when we started talking about the 2015 collection the designer was working on, inspired by a lipstick. Immediately I started to see images in my head which developed further as the sketches and drawings of the dresses came together. To add to the beauty of the gowns, Rockstars and Royalty designer Vicky had teamed up with a brilliant floral artist who proceeded to bring the gowns to another level of beauty with real flowers embellishing the gowns from head to toe.
Q: What do you hope to achieve with your photography in the not-too-distant future; Do you have any exciting, upcoming plans that you would like to share with us?
A: My work is currently showing in an Art Museum in Rome, which has enriched my global reach. This year has opened up so many doors for me and my work and has allowed me to meet so many wonderful artists, I could have never dreamt of only months ago. The next six months will be the transition to my next level of which the outcomes excite me to no end and I can not wait for it to all unfold!!
