DIY: Half-Moon Nails
My shaky hands may prevent me from attempting any fancy nail art, but fortunately I’ve learnt a few tricks to take my at-home manicures beyond just one simple colour. Read on to learn how you can easily achieve this two-tone look.
What you’ll need:
- A set of hands with clean, filed nails- Two complementary nail polish colours- Scissors- Five round colour coding labels
What to do:
Step 1: Paint your nails with your base colour. Don’t be in a hurry, because it’s crucial that these coats dry properly before the next step!Step 2: Cut the round labels in half to make 10 half-moons, and apply them to your nails as pictured. Always make a dent where your nails end to prevent the next coat of nail polish from seeping in through the corners.Step 3: Paint your nails again, going over the base colour and labels.Step 4: Allow your nails to dry again, and then slowly remove the labels.Step 5: Add a top coat if you wish, and you’re done!.- By Whim’s DIY / Craft Blogger Nikki.
