Introducing BAHANA Boutique + Whim's Exclusive Photoshoot

Australian label BAHANA Boutique makes bohemian-inspired garments for the "weekend sun seekers, frequent wanderers and global explorers".

When we were first introduced to this stunning label, we were instantly taken by its carefree and beachy vibes. With the motto "where style met comfort", one cannot deny the label's 'easy and breezy' aesthetic.

Surrounded by some of Australia's most beautiful beaches, including Burleigh and Byron Bay, it isn't hard to understand where the owners of this boutique gain their inspiration from.

BAHANA Boutique is run by three summer-loving sisters, Tegan, Bekk and Brielle. The Porter sisters specialise in various parts of running their popular label, with Tegan appointed the Business Coordinator, Bekk the Head of Art and Collection Design, and Brielle in charge of Marketing and Media.

The sisters inspirationally explain that BAHANA Boutique was born from "creativity, childhood memories and spontaneous travel." Judging by the wanderlust-driven and beach-inspired style of the label, one can only imagine what fantastic adventures the Porter sisters already have under their belt.

Tegan, Bekk and Brielle further state: "Our heart and soul goes into each and every piece of clothing right down to the material designs, which are hand drawn by the ocean side. As nature is a huge part of our inspiration and lifestyle we focus on having a positive impact on the environment and communities, ethically sourcing our materials and ensuring environmental sustainability for the future."

We recently collaborated with the label to put together an exclusive photo shoot featuring their gorgeous and vibrant 'Floreana' Maxi Skirt. You may have also seen a sneak-peek of BAHANA Boutique's 'Uluwatu' Maxi Skirt on our Instagram, so we're hoping to snap some more images of that beauty too!

Taking place on Sunday, we quickly had to scrap any 'swimming in the skirt' scenes, as the weather was just too cold to head to the beach and frolic in the icy ocean! Making do with a jetty overlooking the water and a crystal-clear swimming pool however, it wasn't such a bad trade!

Fellow Whim BFF and model Natalia (who you might remember from this editorial!) did a great job in the not-so-desirable weather conditions, even braving a quick dip in the pool to capture some more pretty photos - there's just something about water and long, flowing skirts!
