Music Review: "Universal Melodies" from Nashaat Salman
Nashaat Salman is a Meilen and Zurich based composer whose latest offering titled "Universal Melodies" will have you spell-bound.
Combining World and New Age Music with Electronica, this artist is certainly one-of-a-kind.
Nashaat Salman is also a solo artist in every sense of the term. He is in charge of production as the composer, orchestrator, keyboardist, pianist ,arranger and producer. Now that's talented!
The first song on his newly released album is titled "Summer Night Joy" and it begins with a South American inspired sound containing the trumpet and other delightful instrumentals. This incredibly upbeat track can be a little repetitive at times, however it is very easy to listen to and will have your mind drifting away to exotic places within seconds.
"Dancing Star" is the next track and the radio edit version contains quite a different sound altogether than the previous song. It is almost celestial in sound, with a Middle Eastern inspired twist. The electronic undercurrents of this track certainly puts that unique Nashaat Salman twist on it.
The final song on the album is called "Chasing" and it is my favourite out of all of the songs. The electronica infused beginning is quite intriguing, while other genres such as New Age cut through. I loved the ethereal and celestial sounding tune and I can't help but agree with IMP when they state, "you find yourself getting lost in beautiful waves of sound."
I highly encourage you to check out the special talent that is Nashaat Salman and to hear all that he has to offer through "Universal Melodies" by visiting the artist's BandCamp page. You can also keep up-to-date with his work through his website or by following on Facebook. Enjoy!
