Photoshoot: 'Woodland Dream' by Michele Taras

When it comes to photography, Michele Taras is a rare talent who has the ability to transport us to fairytale realms through her work.

The Ontario based creative has even been awarded some very impressive awards (including a Worldwide Photography Gala Award) for her stunning portraits.

In addition to her photographic talents, the photographer also contributes significantly to the community, raising money for breast cancer research through exhibits of her breast cancer photography, as well as fund raising with calendars of her images made specifically for Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. She is an exceptional spirit indeed!

Of her beautiful photography, Michele explains: "The essence of good photography is the ability to see the extraordinary in even the simplest of things; to capture a moment in time and transform it into a work of art."

Michele also sheds some more light on today's shoot, stating: "We had the concept of shooting a model on a flower hoop for just about a year now. We had to first find someone who could build us a hoop-swing, and then, as we live in Canada, we had to wait for all the snow to melt! We carried the hoop and walked into the woods until we came upon an old tree with branches large enough and strong enough to support our model. We were a whole crew, designer, model, MUA, assistants, and our children tagged along as well."
