Collaboration + Giveaway: Sun Jellies x Whim Online Magazine

Not long ago, you might have seen our feature of the latest Sun Jellies lookbook and collection, 'Retro Poolside'. Today we're super stoked to bring you our very own collaboration with the UK based brand featuring their three pastel totes!

That's not all though, as Sun Jellies has kindly offered to give away one of their retro inspired totes to a lucky reader! Keep reading below to find out how you can enter the competition to win their lovely, lemon yellow tote (Entries are via the Comments section of this blog post).

Firstly though, we want to share our exciting collaboration! We wanted to capture the colourful, fun, and nostalgic aesthetic of this brand, so opted for some eye-catching flat lays featuring the totes, as well as some shots in the Whim studio featuring how we would style each tote - with pretty, floral dresses of course! We were also heavily inspired by a past Free People lookbook which contained floral clip art over the images, so wanted to try our hand at this too.

Tips for Styling a Pastel Sun Jellies Tote:

• Pair the bag with a pair of jelly sandals to truly celebrate all things 'Sun Jellies'! If you don't have a pair of jelly sandals though, any other summery sandals will do (for example, we teamed our yellow tote with a pair of sandal-clogs).
• The totes look great when paired with garments which contain their pastel hue - whether it be a hint of lemon yellow, fairy floss pink, or sky blue.
• If in doubt, team your pastel tote with a white ensemble. This will really make your stylish bag stand out!
• We loved styling our totes with bouquets of flowers, as they represented a wonderful 'market' bag that you could use to fill with fresh flowers, fruit, or even thrifty finds. We also think they're perfect for packing your towel and sunscreen in for a summer's day at the beach!
• Accessorise your tote bag with a pair of novelty or retro sunglasses to capture that fun and summery Sun Jellies look!

The Sun Jellies brand makes me feel nostalgic for long, hot summers gone by as a child, travelling down the NSW South Coast and spending hours at the beach often with a dripping ice block in hand (whilst looking for hermit crabs...ALL the memories!)
