Etsy Made Local Market Melbourne - Nov 28th 2015
If you live in Melbourne (or will be lucky enough to be visiting the city later this month) then you'll want to mark Saturday 28th November in your diary - the Etsy Made Local Market is coming to town!
Located at Rupert on Rupert (73 Rupert St, Collingwood) and Allpress Gallery & Courtyard (80 Rupert St, Collingwood) from 9am - 3pm, the Christmas market will feature over 45 of Melbourne’s most exciting creative businesses.
If you're like us and love all things Etsy (unique handmade and vintage products from very talented individuals!) then you certainly won't want to miss it. Not only will the market provide you with a great opportunity to shop for your Christmas gifts whilst supporting independent and small local businesses, but there will also be an array of delicious beverages and food on offer.
“This will be one of the biggest markets of the year for Melbourne. With the backing of Etsy we are able to curate a beautiful market that shines a light on local makers, communities and businesses," explains Etsy Melbourne Team Leader Jen.
Etsy Made Local Melbourne aims to connect shoppers with the makers, and celebrate creatives who are turning their passions into a thriving local business.
We've rounded-up some of our 'must-see sellers' who will be showcasing their products at this event, so be sure to check them out below:
K is for Kani:
Way back when Whim was just a few months old, we interviewed Connie, the talented lady behind this fun and floral Etsy shop. We'd absolutely love to see her creations in person, so encourage you to do the same if you will have the pleasure of attending the event.
Ollanani:
Nani Puspasari is the talented maker behind label Ollanani and she creates quirky and unique products such as ceramics, pillow cases, accessories, cards, prints and more! We adore these little cat dishes.
Little Maggie Moo:
Christy Hynd creates bloomers, topknots, tshirts, and bandana bibs from the most amazing fabric for infants - Aren't they wonderful?
Loving You Yesterday:
It probably comes as no surprise to hear that the whimsical and feminine garments from Loving You Yesterday are right up our alley! It'd be hard to contain our excitement if we stumbled upon this market stall...
Honey Ginger Toast:
The colourful and fun creations of Honey Ginger Toast always seem to put a big smile on our faces, so we definitely recommend stopping by this beautiful stall! The pastel geometric brooches are our favourites.
Blossom and Cat:
The playful creations of Blossom and Cat will make perfect presents for loved ones this Christmas, or even as a little gift for yourself! We especially love the strawberry and popsicle shaped earrings.

Although we unfortunately won't be showcasing our goods at the Etsy Made Local Market Melbourne, you can still check out our digital prints Etsy store here, as well as our Whim Vintage boutique which is also on Etsy.
You can also see the full list of designers taking part in the event here, and for more information we encourage you to head to the market's website or Facebook event page. Enjoy!
