Confetti, Sequins + Glitter: Ashish's SS16 Showcase

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has found herself feeling awe-struck by the confetti-filled 'skater girls' from Ashish's LFW show filling Pinterest's feed of late.

From the colourfully-adorned smock dresses, to jeweled eyes and sequin-sprinkled hair - what's not to love about the label's latest showcase?

When it came to Ashish's Spring / Summer 2016 collection, the talented designer found inspiration in the twinkling sequins splattered across his own studio.

“I thought they just looked beautiful. Why try and impose order when disorder looks so great?” he recently mused.

For those of you who (like me) had never heard of Ashish before discovering his LFW showcase, here's a little more information about the whimsical designer.

Ashish Gupta was born in Delhi and studied Fine Art in India before moving to Middlesex to complete a BA in Fashion Design.

The designer is now based in London and since his first show at London Fashion Week in 2004, he has won the New Generation Award three times for his unique designs which blend both Western and Eastern influences.
