Whim Loves: Stunning Large Wall Clocks by PWC

Stunning Large Wall Clocks by PWC - Whim Online Magazine 1

If there’s one thing our eyes have been drawn to of late, it’s stunning home décor which easily and instantly transforms an otherwise plain space.

Perhaps it’s our inner Joanna Gaines coming out, but we’ve been particularly admiring the more traditional time-tellers of home décor – clocks!

Large wall clocks have made a long-awaited return to all sorts of spaces, whether it be the kitchen, lounge room, or home office, and one online destination assisting with this revival is Australian store Purely Wall Clocks (PWC).

With over 180 designs available, PWC offer an assortment of on-trend clocks, including everything from large wall clocks and alarm clocks, to antique clocks, mantle clocks, and perpetual clocks (just to name a few!).

One of our favourite brands from PWC at the moment seems to be Liz + Leo, with their Scandinavian inspired designs consisting of a minimalist aesthetic. Despite the seemingly stark look, Liz + Leo’s clocks contain large solid wooden frames (such as their Modern Wooden Wall Clock, pictured above), helping them to gel perfectly with just about any décor style.

We’ve also found ourselves admiring the beautiful range of mantel clocks, a particular type of clock that has also been doing the rounds on trending Pinterest home décor boards of late. Perhaps it’s the way they quickly jazz-up a mantle, bench top or table, or even the ease at which they add charm to any room – either way, we’re hooked! Our favourite design at the moment? The Stor Flip Mantel Clock (pictured below), as we love its retro-inspired 1970’s aesthetic.

If you too are interested in adding an eye-catching clock to any of your favourite spaces, here are some things we think you should keep in mind:

  • Before you begin to look for specific styles, decide on which wall or part of the house you want to display your clock. Don’t forget to measure the space and take note of any existing colour schemes!
  • Look for styles containing natural materials such as wood and slate, as these have made a huge comeback of late.
  • Copper is also still very on-trend and this hue can be softened with the addition of feminine shades such as light pink and coral. A great example of a stylish copper design is the Artemis Copper Wall Clock (pictured below).
