Photoshoot: 'Smoke & Beauty' by Jessica Bailey
Jessica Bailey is an Atlanta-based photographer, specialising in intimate portraits as well as lavish, fantasy-inspired fashion shoots – like the one we’re publishing today!
This breathtaking forest shoot shows off the best of a whole range of decades in bridal fashion – from 70s boho to nip-waisted 50s numbers to regal 60s visions.
Our favourite would have to be the 70s prairie-style wedding dress – a masterpiece of lace and tulle with an ornate collar and layers. A close second would be the “Alumunda dress” – an adorable 50s midi with a killer sweetheart neckline. (We will have to admit to checking the sizes and prices on all of these!)
Paired with tall tresses and smoky, dramatic eyes, this wonderful selection really shines in this setting, while a puff of lavender smoke towards the end lends it all a dreamlike quality – and makes our brides truly look like goddesses!
We’ve been so excited to be showcasing so much beautiful vintage bridal fashion lately! If this shoot has you pining for your very own vintage find, the dresses featured are all from Parasol Vintage on Etsy – and are mostly still available.
