So, it’s time to invent creative burger ideas that will allow you to eat scrumptious burgers without going to McDonald’s.

Following are five creative burger ideas that you can easily make at home:

Recipe #1 – Tangy Meat Loaf Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 Small onion: ½ diced and ½ sliced in rings
  • Fresh parsley chopped: ¼ cup
  • Breadcrumbs: ½ cup
  • Large egg: 1
  • Cheese: 2 slices
  • Sweet paprika: 1 tsp
  • Ketchup: 1/3 cup
  • Duck sauce: 1/3 cup
  • Sprinkle of ground pepper and kosher salt
  • Extra-virgin olive oil: 1 tbsp
  • Buns: 4
  • Toppings: Sliced tomato, pickled slice and lettuce

Method

  • Soak onion rings in cold water
  • Preheat the grill to medium heat
  • Combine meatloaf, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, paprika, ketchup, diced onion, duck sauce, pepper and salt
  • Form four one inch thick patties
  • Brush patties with olive and grill for six minutes.
  • Mix the same amount of duck sauce and ketchup in a bowl
  • Toast the buns, brush the sauce on the buns and immediately place the cheese slices on it
  • Put the patties on the buns and top it with lettuce, pickles, tomato and onions

Recipe #2 – Smashed Sliders

Ingredients

  • Lean ground beef: ¼ pounds
  • Large Onion: 1 (chopped)
  • Slider Buns: 5
  • Sprinkle of ground pepper and kosher salt
  • Topping: Ketchup, dill pickle slices, mustard, mayonnaise

Method

  • Finely chop the onion and mix it in the meat
  • Form the meat into golf size balls and smash them with a spatula in the skillet
  • Place the meat on the buns and top it with mayonnaise, dill pickles, ketchup and mustard

Recipe #3 – Mighty Pepper Jack

Ingredients

  • Ground beef: 1 ¼ pounds
  • Sprinkle of ground pepper and kosher salt
  • Canola oil
  • Pepper Jack: 4 ounces (sliced)
  • Kaiser rolls: 4
  • Barbeque sauce: ¼ cup
  • Romaine lettuce: 4 leaves
  • Large tomato: 1 (sliced)
  • Sliced pickled jalapeños: ½ cup

Method

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat
  • Season the meat with salt and pepper
  • Oil the grill and place the patties on the grill (cook for 5 minutes on each side)
  • Top the patties with pepper Jack after the patties are done and let them sit on the grill for three minutes
  • Toast the buns for two minutes and spread the barbeque sauce
  • Place the patty on the bun and top it with jalapeños, tomato and Romaine lettuce

Recipe #4 – Barbeque Burger

Ingredients

Burgers:

  • Large egg: 1 (lightly beaten)
  • Quick-cooking oats: 1/3 cup
  • Onion and garlic salt: ¼ tsp
  • Salt and pepper: ¼ tsp
  • Ground beef: 1 ½ pounds
  • Buns: 6
  • Toppings: Cheese, pickles, lettuce, onion, tomato, jalapeños and crunchy bacon (optional)

Sauce:

  • Ketch: 1 cup
  • Brown sugar: ½ cup
  • Sugar: 1/3 cup
  • Honey: ¼ cup
  • Molasses: ¼ cup
  • Mustard: 2 tsp
  • Salt: ¼ tsp
  • Liquid smoke: ¼ tsp
  • Pepper: 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce: 1 ½ tsp

Method

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat
  • Combine all the sauce ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. Set it aside in a bowl to spread on the buns
  • Combine eggs, ¼ cup of barbeque sauce, oats, garlic and onion salt, salt and pepper. Add it to the beef and mix well
  • Place the patties on the grill, eight minutes each side and baste it with the barbeque sauce in the last five minutes
  • Place the patty on the bun and add the toppings

Recipe #5 – Signature Big Burger

Ingredients

  • Small onion: 1 (finely chopped)
  • Beef: 2 fat-free lean patties
  • Topping: Lettuce, pickle, cheese slices

Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise: 4 tbsp
  • Sweet pickle relish: 2 tbsp
  • Yellow mustard: 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar: 1 tsp
  • Paprika powder: 1 tsp
  • Onion powder: 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder: 1 tsp

Method

  • Whisk all the sauce ingredients and transfer it into a bowl
  • Shape two thin patties and place them in a frying pan (fry for 5 minutes on each side)
  • Take two burgers and split them into halves (set one top part of the bun aside)
  • Toast the buns and spread the sauce
  • Place the cheese and patty on it with a little of lettuce and onion
  • Cover it with the bottom part of the second bun and repeat the process and now add pickle slices
