Top 10: Nature's Beauty Remedies
When it comes to common ailments or imperfections, sometimes the answers lie within the resources given to us by Mother Nature. While over-the-counter or common supermarket products may seem to do the job, they also contain a lot of nasty chemicals that can make people with sensitive skin even worse off than they were before. These remedies all contain natural products that are easily found around the home or in your garden, and will leave you not only looking, but feeling better too.

Puffy eyes: A compress of either moist camomile, pekoe, or rose hip tea will help to decrease puffiness if applied to the eye are for at least 15 minutes a day.
Bloodshot eyes: Natural eye washes can be made from herbs such as camomile, borage, fennel or elder flower. Just add 1 level teaspoon of the dried herb to 1 cup of boiling water, then leave to cool before straining.
Cold sores: Apply aloe vera gel from the freshly cut plant at the first sign of a cold sore.
Dull or dry skin (face): A deep-cleaning exfoliant made from almond meal will smooth your skin as it cleanses. Simply make a thin paste by combining a tablespoon of almond meal with water, milk and some honey.
Acne: A cleanser can be made using a small amount of lemon juice and generously diluting it in water. This is an effective, but gentle, treatment for acne, and it is recommended you rinse the mixture off thoroughly once finished.
Wrinkles: Treat and prevent wrinkles by applying vitamin E oil from a snipped capsule or wheatgerm oil to not only fill in the crevices, but to also prevent them from becoming more noticeable. This treatment is especially effective on wrinkles surrounding the mouth.
For softer skin: Simply add 1 tablespoon of honey to your bath to nourish your skin.
Sunburn: Natural remedies that will ease the pain and redness of sunburn include milk (saturate a cloth in cold milk and apply it to the sunburnt skin), aloe vera gel, yoghurt (leave on the area until dry, then rinse), plain honey and vitamin E oil from a punctured capsule.
Rough or dry hands: Soak your hands in a bowl of fresh milk or a mixture of sugar and water.
Nail discolouration: To remove surface stains from your fingernails, rub them with a cut lemon then rinse.
