Featured Lookbook: Mona Mara
Mona Mara is an exquisite jewellery label based in Britain. The debut collection, titled 'We all have a story to tell...' is inspired by "Mona Mara’s experiences and the life she leads living in her city, London".
The collection features beautiful items of jewellery made from 22kt gold plate over brass or sterling silver and each item is hand-packaged from recycled materials.
The brand has a strong and inspirational vision of exactly who the 'Mona Mara girl' is. They explain. "Mona Mara, like any other girl, searches to be true to herself. Inspired by so much that surrounds her she often finds herself spending hours exploring the diverse creative offerings of her city, London. Mona Mara is not a follower of trends necessarily, she enjoys collecting trinkets and wearable items along her travels, each holding memories and positive affirmations which add to her eclectic style and evolving self. She is increasingly concerned about social issues, is conscious of her capacity to develop and grow, whilst contributing to the wider scheme of things. As a free-thinker, Mona Mara believes that "wherever there is love there is life." She is encouraged by a positive outlook and has a conviction to bring light to the lives of others".
Some of you may even recognise the raven-haired beauty featured in the lookbook as blogger Megan McMinn from 'Briar Rose'. We think Megan was the perfect choice for the collection, as not only does she look fantastic draped in the label's beautifully delicate and unique pieces, but she also embodies the label's vision of the true 'Mona Mara girl'.
