Featured Lookbook: Rosapina Vintage SS13

The label, Rosapina Vintage, contains a very special concept. The vintage-inspired garments are designed by Ale and then lovingly hand-crafted by her mother using delicate 50s and 60s fabrics from Ale's grandmother's archive. Rosapina Vintage symbolises a generation of talented Italian women, all drawing inspiration and creativity from one another.

The photographs above feature designer Ale, and they are part of the Rosapina Vintage SS13 lookbook, the label's first-ever collection and lookbook to be released to date! So far, we love what this fresh, new fashion label has to offer, and cannot wait to see what beautiful designs and ideas the mother-daughter duo come up with in the near future.

There is an equally as beautiful and personal story behind the name "Rosapina Vintage" also. Ale exaplains:
"Rosaspina (the equivalent of "Briar Rose") is the main character of a very well known 50s animated feature film, a beautiful sixteen years old peasant girl raised in a secret cottage, who spent her days gathering berries and singing in the woods, surrounded by squirrels and birds. Probably better known as princess Aurora. Sleeping Beauty has been my 'crucial' film, it's the very first animated movie I saw. Even if I was incredibly young I still remember that day very clearly, as I watched it 12 times in a row and mom was quite embarrassed when we gave the tape back to the rental shop... :) "
