Featured Photographer: Martina Civardi
Milan-based photographer Martina Civardi is a true creative talent, possessing the ability to transform the ordinary into something truly breath-taking. At just 21 years of age, this artist has already produced an impressive portfolio of images that draw upon her love of the world and those she encounters around her.
Martina's willingness to experiment and play with a range of mediums and techniques in her photography helps to create these truly spectacular photographs. Shot using digital, analogue and Polaroid cameras, the images this artist has produced really do speak a thousand words. In Martina's own words she states, "I love a nostalgic picture, especially the ruined ones, with soft colours."
With undoubted talent in both portrait and landscape photography, Martina is a true testament to the benefits of hard work and dedication. Her recent series ‘Analogue’ includes an inspiring collection of photographs taken using a Praktica MTL 5. The blurred, dreamy quality of these shots illustrates the beauty of film, often forgotten in the modern world of instant, crystal-clear digital images.
