Featured Photographer: Brenda Waworga

As we're sure you're well aware of, Whim has a penchant for things (particularly images) that have that wonderfully dreamy and whimsical quality. We love selecting some of our most favourite images from talented, international artists and photographers and writing a short summary of their work, interests and hopes for the future. But every now and then we are introduced to the work of a creative who we struggle to sum-up in 300 words or less, and Brenda Waworga is certainly one of those incredibly special people.
Based in Manado Indonesia, Brenda Waworga is a self-taught photographer specializing in portrait photography. Her work has reached worldwide fame, with her Facebook page alone containing almost 70,000 adoring fans and her breathtaking images attracting millions of views.
Looking through all of Brenda's photographs, it isn't hard to see why her work is so popular. Her awe-inspiring images take our breath away with their outstanding beauty and the way in which they seem to capture our dreams perfectly. From fairytale realms to deserted fields and the seaside, it seems as though everywhere Brenda travels she is able to spread her unique magic. We would like to personally thank the talented photographer for choosing to capture and convey so much of this world's beauty, serving as a reminder to all of us to slow down in life and 'smell the roses'.
Brenda explains: "I found interest about photography at the end of the year 2009 because I want to travel abroad and I was thinking I need a “good” camera so I can capture great things there LOL and ended up with curiosity and beauty of photography and since then I never stop learning and capturing, it's been my source of happiness and my way to express myself and things that I've seen to the world or to other people."
We strongly urge you to visit Brenda's website and DeviantArt to see her full portfolio of work, because if we could have showcased every single image from the photographer here on the Whim blog, trust us, we would have!
