Submission Time!
The upcoming digital issue of Whim Online Magazine is set to be released on the 28th of April, so if any of the following apply to you then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us by emailing whim.online@gmail.com. The cut-off date for all submissions to the upcoming issue is the 7th of April - not too long to go now!
- Opinion Pieces / Articles (with a maximum of 500 words): We've usually only published creative writing pieces such as short stories and poetry in our previous digital issues, however with the soon-to-be release of our first ever bi-monthly issue, we're opening up these extra writing submission options! We only have a few tips for when it comes to writing / choosing a piece to submit for one of our digital issues. We're huge fans of positive, light-hearted or inspiring pieces and would like to avoid anything that puts others down or sounds a little, well..ranty! Articles about any of the topics we cover in Whim would work a treat, such as whimsical / dreamy fashion, photography and art, or even other topics such as music, blogging, health, lifestyle, beauty (we're open to suggestions!)
- Short stories / Poetry / Prose: We've still got a few spaces left to publish creative writing, so if you haven't submitted a piece yet please feel free to get in contact with us and email your submission - we absolutely love reading them all!
- DIY projects: This is the first time we've also opened submissions up for DIY-lovers, and we're super excited to see your step-by-step projects! Please feel free to either email us about your project or send us a link to your own blog post containing your DIY project. This is also a great way for crafty people to share links to their own social media / websites with our readers as we will be sure to credit you accordingly with your own by-line in the issue.
- Musicians: We're still on the lookout for musicians to interview and showcase in our upcoming issue, so if you feel as though Whim's audience would love your work, then please do not hesitate to send us an email and introduce yourself!
Although we are mostly concentrating on the areas listed above, you are still encouraged to email us at whim.online@gmail.com to introduce us to your work to see if it would be a good fit to be showcased either in the upcoming digital issue or on the website. You've really got nothing to lose :)
