Featured RAW Sydney Artist: Irene Feleo
If you've been lucky enough to get your hands on Whim's latest digital edition (here's a link for all of those who have yet to give it a read), you would have spotted the incredible creations of artist Irene Feleo. This Sydney-based freelance illustrator certainly has a lot on her plate, juggling the completion of her masters in curating along with a range of exciting artistic projects. With an extensive background in art and design, Irene's skills gained from her Bachelor of Digital Media at College of Fine arts (COFA) in 2010 have helped to provide her with a strong foundation for these recent creative ventures.
As a visual artist featured at the recent RAW Sydney 'Mosaic' Showcase held at the University of Sydney's Manning Bar, Whim was lucky enough to meet with Irene herself and see the beauty of her illustrations on display. The colour and vibrancy of each unique work truly set Irene apart as an instantly recognisable artist. Her stunning use of intricate fine lines produce a collection of works that are distinctive, raw and completely one-of-a-kind.
We are honoured to be able to share these spectacular works with you on the Whim blog, and urge you to head over to Irene's blog and online portfolio to see her entire collection of inspiring illustrations. You can also keep updated with RAW Sydney by 'liking' the organisation on Facebook.
