Rachele Maggi's ethereal images have been leaving us feeling awe-struck since the very first time we set eyes on them. You may recall Rachele's stunning 'VOGUE-esque' photoshoot in the current digital issue of Whim, and today we are honoured to be able to showcase another impressive shoot from the photographer titled 'Spring in Warsaw'.
The 26-year-old Italian photographer has been taking photographs for over ten years now, and she began her formal training in the medium at university in 2008.
"I've always had a passion for art since childhood. I've [been] searching for something that would make [me] express my inner twisted world for long, something that would alleviate my depression. Finally I found photography, the only thing that makes me feel really good," explains Rachele.
Based in Rome, photography is now Rachele's full-time pursuit and passion, and she lists Francesca Woodman and Tim Walker as two of her biggest inspirations behind the lens. The talented photographer also notes that she has a penchant for "Ophelia, redhead models and for androgynous beauty" and each of these whimsical elements are clearly evident in her photography.
