Faith McGary is a fashion designer who has graced the pages of famous fashion magazines such as VOGUE Italia. For today's featured photoshoot, however, Faith and her husband teamed up as photographers to support one of Faith's many social initiatives - Animal rescue.
Free People, Houston - City Centre, were more than happy to offer clothing for this special editorial when asked, and here at Whim we've always been huge fans of the label's carefree, dreamy and bohemian vibe. What we weren't aware of though was Free People's strong initiatives and involvement with various charities and groups in order to help make this world a better place.
Faith explains: "This shoot is about conscious fashion and models that support a 'working to make a better world' team approach. Free People Clothing has shown new directions in organic clothes that are environmentally friendly. Brand values such as femininity, courage, and spirit are the main priorities for [the] Free People Clothing brand. We live in a society that usually forgets about helping each other, we blindly follow latest trends and wear clothes that do not represent anything more than some fashion trends."
Faith enthuses that we can all be involved in an online community that helps animal rescue organisations, and two of these charities which Faith is particularly passionate about is the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue and The Great Dane Rescue of Southeast Texas.
