The incredible photography of Ashley Holloway never ceases to amaze and inspire us, however we think with today's featured shoot Ashley has really gone above and beyond, creating some of the most dreamy images we have ever seen. We are very honoured to be able to call Ashley a 'regular photographic contributor' to Whim, and we hope you've had the pleasure of viewing her previous submissions on the Whim blog, as well as in our previous digital issue.
Ashley sheds some more light on her editorial, stating: "[It] was something fun, quirky, and super girly I put together with a fabulous bunch of ladies. The designer, Julia Chew, is only 19, but is making a name for herself with her exquisitely crafted dresses!..Brooke is a model that I have worked with many times, because she's so joyful to be around, and I really like her unique and dreamy look. And Jess Jennings is just utterly fabulous with makeup brushes in hand! Altogether, they are some of my favorite people, so it's always wonderful to get to work with all of them, because we're creating magic while having a ton of fun! Seriousness is overrated!"
If you're like us, your eyes may have been instantly drawn to the beautiful and feminine garments featured in the shoot, created by Julia Chew for her own label, Xiaolin. The label's website states, "Combining elements of untamed nature with sleek sophistication, Xiaolin aims to create garments of enchantment and allure," and we could not have summed it up better ourselves! It is always wonderful to support emerging creatives, and we just know that this young designer will continue to take the fashion industry by storm with her unique and ethereal designs.
If you would like to view more gorgeous garments from Xiaolin, you can head to the label's website or Etsy store. You can also immerse yourself in the stunning photography of Ashley Holloway by visiting her website and keeping up-to-date with her work through 'liking' her Facebook page. Enjoy your weekend!
