Featured Photoshoot: 'Alora' by Clair Saint-Camille
This morning on the Whim blog our minds are taking a trip to Placencia, Belize, thanks to this beautiful, carefree and soft-focus photoshoot by the talented Clair Saint-Camille. You may remember Clair's work showcased on the Whim website here before (including an interview with the photographer), so we are ecstatic to be able to bring you more work from this creative soul.
Clair enjoys shooting in 35mm film using vintage cameras and we love the beautifully hazy, pastel and dreamy aesthetic that this method creates. We're sure many photographers will agree that shooting with film is not only unpredictable, but it requires a lot more patience than using a digital alternative, and for that reason we truly admire those who can produce stunning images using this format.
Clair's website states: "I am interested in experiencing a dreamt world, in which all things are soft and must be held tenderly, and which will as tenderly touch you back", and these poetic words truly inspire us. Looking at Clair's portfolio, it is clearly evident that the young photographer achieves this notion every time he steps behind a camera; a feat that is not as easy as it sounds.
We encourage you to keep up-to-date with Clair's work by visiting his Flickr photostream, blog and website. You can also follow Clair's lovely work on Instagram (@clairsaintcamille). Enjoy!
