Forests possess a sense of wonder, whimsy and magic that make them a truly unique natural space. One photoshoot that wholeheartedly encompasses this mysterious quality is Stefanie Bernard's 'Through the Trees'. Featuring model Kristina Evans, Stefanie sought to depict the untouched beauty of the landscape in this captivating fashion shoot. This emerging photographer from the Gold Coast has a bright future ahead of her, also pursuing a range of creative ventures outside of her photography including baking, craft, music and even the running of a quaint Etsy store.

What is so striking about this series is the stark contrast between Kristina's delicate, feminine styling and the rugged surrounds of the shoot. Luck played a big part in the creation of these incredible images too, with Stefanie herself explaining "we had this shoot planned for quite some time, the day of the shoot it was drizzling but we decided to take a chance. By the time hair and makeup was done we arrived at our location and the rained cleared for a magical afternoon of dreamy, soft, warm light."

Even in the most uncertain of circumstances, Stefanie's photographic talents continued to shine through. Such resilience and a willingness to push through barriers are traits of a truly admirable individual.
